How to Fight Common Allergy Symptoms and Find Relief This Spring
If you suffer from allergies, spring is often one of the most challenging seasons. With plants in bloom and rising pollen counts, it can be hard to find relief from sneezing, watery eyes, and other annoying symptoms. But don’t despair – following a few simple tips and tricks can effectively combat your allergy woes this season! In this blog post, we’ll explore some natural ways to fight common allergy symptoms so that you can enjoy the beauty of spring without feeling miserable.

Clean your ducts.

One of the best ways to fight allergies is to keep your ducts clean. Dust and pollen can build up in your ducts over time, and when your furnace or air conditioner kicks on, those allergens can be circulated throughout your home. To keep your ducts clean, hire a professional to come and do a deep cleaning once a year. You can also vacuum them yourself with a special attachment.

Change your filters regularly.

Another way to keep allergies at bay is to regularly change your furnace and air conditioner filters. Depending on your filter type, you may need to change it every few months. Check the manufacturer’s instructions to see how often you need to change it.

Keep your windows closed.

When pollen counts are high, keep your windows closed to prevent allergens from coming into your home. If it’s too hot to keep your windows closed, run an air conditioner or dehumidifier to help filter out pollen and other allergens.

Wear a dust mask when cleaning.

If you suffer from dust allergies, wear a dust mask when you vacuum or do other household chores that stir up dust. You can also buy special covers for your mattress and pillows to keep dust mites from setting up shop in your bedroom.

Air purifier

Another great way to fight allergies is to use an air purifier in your home. Air purifiers work by trapping allergens and other particles in the air, allowing you to breathe easier.

Vacuum regularly

Vacuuming regularly is also a great way to reduce allergens in your home. Use a vacuum with a HEPA filter for the best results. A HEPA filter is a type of air filter that is designed to remove 99.97% of all particles that are larger than 0.3 microns from the air. This makes them an extremely effective way to reduce allergens in your home.
